About Me

My name is Cordelia Payson and I am a fullstack software engineer. I am enthusiastic about problem solving, writing clean code, and learning new tech.

After graduating college with a BA in European Studies I spent several years working a variety of jobs, searching for the right career. I had considered software engineering previously, but it wasn't until the summer of 2022 that I felt ready to pursue it as a career. I finally decided to enroll in the Hack Reactor 12-week software engineering immersive and learned full-stack development through 1,000+ hours of coding.

Visualizing History

Visualizing History was created as a result of my strong desire for a reliabe source for images of historical items without any visual clutter. This site is for readers, writers, and anyone with a love of history. Images are pulled from musuem collections for results that are more tailored than a Google search. the

TheCampSite

TheCampSite allows users to review campsites and find campsites based on their location. As the UI owner, I was responsible for creating the wireframe. The biggest challenge in this role was designing components that transitioned seamlessly between desktop and mobile.

E-Commerce Product Page

This e-commerce product page was developed with a team of three others. I created the Ratings and Reviews section for the product. Users can sort reviews, filter by rating, and add their own review. All components were created from scratch with Javascript, CSS, and HTML!
